music Welcome back to that music podcast. I am absolutely, incredibly excited to welcome you to somehow, season six of that music podcast. When we started this podcast a long time ago, I'm not quite sure I ever thought we'd be here at season six, but here we are in 2024
ready to have another wonderful school year. So I'm really excited, because we have a lot of cool things in the pipelines here at that music teacher, including here on the podcast, we have episodes that are coming out every single week all the way throughout the rest of the school year, and they're all the goal of them all is to allow you to have practical advice, to do something, to uplevel your instruction, get the content specific professional development that you're not getting in your school, and really just be the awesome music teacher Rockstar that you are. So what do we have in plan for this season? So we have a lot of cool stuff. We have a lot of guest speakers that are gonna be sharing their absolute best insights, and I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. So we have a membership here at that music teacher, called that music teacher community, you can learn more by heading into the show notes or by heading to that music teacher.com but within that membership, we have guest speakers that are coming in every month and giving a masterclass specifically for music teachers just like you. And what we're doing this year in the podcast this season is, whenever we have a guest speaker coming in, we're gonna try to get them on the podcast and share a little bit more about what their level of expertise is. So obviously, we're gonna go a lot deeper in the membership itself, but we're still gonna be able to give you some free content here on the podcast to allow you to uplevel your music teaching game. I know that music teaching is not easy, especially when you feel like you are stuck on music teacher island. So I am here for you. My team is here for you, and we are super excited to also now have our speakers, our guest speakers, joining us to help you have your best school year yet. So whether you've been here for a while or you're just finding out that we have a podcast, welcome back to the podcast. I hope that we're going to be able to offer you some content, specific professional development, some advice and just some community and camaraderie as we go through this next school year. If you didn't know, I actually left the classroom at the end of this past school year, which feels so weird, and I'm running that music teacher full time, so my team and I are fully supported and dedicated to making sure that you and your students are set up for success in the music classroom. So at any point, if you have any questions, if you are like, Hey, I'm really struggling with this, or do you have any resources on this? Or hey, I What about if you talk about this on the podcast? We are already in the midst of all the crazy getting back to school stuff. But also, like building out our next summit, building out our membership for the rest of the year, also, we're still, don't worry, elementary people. We're not giving up the elementary music Summit. It's gonna be coming back in full force in July, as well as having another wonderful January refresh in January. And there might just be some secrets along the way that I can't tell you about, but I promise we are going to take care of you. As a music teacher, we are going to be here however we can to make sure that you and your students are set up for success. So I know this is a short and sweet episode. Quite frankly, I've been trying to record this episode for four hours, and the tech Gremlins have not been kind, but I am super excited that you're here.
