How the Summit Works
The Elementary Music Summit®: January Refresh is two free days of virtual sessions made specifically for the elementary music room. Every session is led by an elementary music specialist, and each one gives attendees something they can use in their classroom the following week to uplevel their instruction and create more sustainable systems.
30-Minute Pre-Recorded Sessions
Record on your own schedule. Your session is broadcast on the Main Stage at its scheduled time to emulate the live conference experience.
Live Chat During Your Broadcast
Joining the chat is optional but strongly encouraged. It's the best way to connect with attendees while your session plays.
Pop-Up Summit Community
A private community opens just for the summit, where attendees connect, hold each other accountable and ask questions. You're welcome to answer questions about your session and connect with attendees there. It closes when the summit ends.
Promotion Made for You
You'll get email swipe copy, social media copy and graphics. Copy, paste and share.
The All-Access Pass
Attendees can upgrade for a year of replays plus bonus resources from every speaker. You earn a commission on each upgrade you refer, and as a perk of speaking, you'll receive a complimentary All-Access Pass of your own once your bonus is accepted and your recording is in.
Who You'll Be Teaching
Our audience spans multiple countries and time zones, all elementary music teachers trying to uplevel their instruction and get off of music teacher island. In January, they're coming back from winter break looking for ideas they can use in their classrooms the very next week.

Every confirmed speaker gets free access to the TEN Speaker Framework, our step-by-step course for summit speakers. It walks you through recording your session and the entire speaker process, from your first form to your last promo post.
Whether this is your first presentation or your fiftieth, you'll always know exactly what to do next. We're not going to throw you to the wolves and tell you to figure it out.

What We'll Ask of You
Here's everything you'll do as a speaker, in order. The Speaker Framework and our reminder emails will walk you through each one.

Within 7 days of receiving it
Sign Your Speaker Agreement
You'll send your W-9 (or W-8BEN) and the email address for your PayPal account through the same signing request.

Within 7 days of our request, and no later than Friday, November 13th
Complete Your Speaker Profile
We'll only ask for what your proposal didn't already cover, like your headshot or an updated bio, title or description.

Submit Your Recording, Slides and All-Access Pass Bonus
Your publish-ready session recording, your slides or handout as a single PDF, and your All-Access Pass bonus are all due the same day. Earlier is always welcome.

Promote the Summit
Send at least one email to your list (if you have one) and publish at least two social media posts, using your affiliate link.

Optional, but it's the part past speakers love most.

Monday, January 18th
Join the Bonus Day
As a speaker, you get complimentary access to our Elementary Music EDGE® bonus day, normally open only to EDGE® members, once your All-Access Pass bonus is accepted and your recording is in.
Your recording
- About 30 minutes, pre-recorded.
- A final cut in .mp4 or .mov format, at 1080p or higher.
- Clear, audible speech without significant background noise, and on-screen text that's easy to read.
- We'll review it within 10 business days. If anything needs fixing, you'll have 10 business days to send a new version.
Your slides and handouts
- Send each as a single PDF. We host it so attendees can download it directly.
- No email opt-ins, links or .zip files for session materials.
- Test every link in your materials and your presentation, and keep them working through January 17, 2028.
- Materials are final once they're due. Changes after that need our written approval.
Your All-Access Pass bonus
- A complete resource you normally sell, like templates, lesson plans, workbooks, mini-courses or eBooks. A 100%-off code also works.
- Partial discounts, samples, previews and trials can't be accepted. We don't recommend 1:1 offers.
- You can host it yourself, including through an opt-in for your email list, as long as one link takes pass holders straight to it.
- It must be accepted by Tuesday, December 22nd and stay available through January 17, 2028.
- Once your bonus is accepted and your recording is in, you'll get your free All-Access Pass and bonus day access.
What you can share in your session
- You may make one free offer during the final 5 minutes of your session.
- No pitches for paid products, courses or services.
- Show off your own branding, but please don't wear or display third-party logos.
- Have a written release for any student or other identifiable person who appears in your session or materials.
Promotion rules
- Please don't share any promotion before Tuesday, January 5th.
- Share your affiliate link exactly as we provide it, and disclose that you may earn a commission every time you share it.
- No paid ads that use our brand names, including search ads. Organic posts and emails to your own list are always fine.
Exclusivity
- From December 17, 2026 through February 16, 2027, please don't present the same or a very similar topic at another virtual summit, free webinar series or online conference. In-person events and short social posts are fine.
- Through January 17, 2028, please don't publish the recording you send us anywhere else. Clips up to 60 seconds to promote your session are welcome.
If anything on this page differs from your signed speaker agreement, the agreement is what counts.
