Elementary Music Summit® Marks 5-Year Milestone; Opens Call for Proposals After Reaching 31,000 Educators Worldwide

COLUMBUS, OH – The Elementary Music Summit® is proud to announce the official Call for Proposals for its fifth-annual summer event, scheduled for July 6th–10th, 2026. This milestone anniversary celebrates a rapid trajectory of global impact: since its inaugural summit in August 2022, the organization has welcomed over 31,000 elementary music teachers from around the world.

The Summit was founded to solve a specific challenge: the professional isolation often felt by music specialists. By providing content-specific professional development, the Elementary Music Summit® empowers teachers to increase student performance while simultaneously creating a sustainable work/life balance.

"Reaching 31,000 educators in just four years proves how hungry music teachers are for community and practical, classroom-ready tools," says Bryson Tarbet, Founder of the Elementary Music Summit®. "As we head into our fifth summer, our mission remains the same: to bridge the gap between summer break and a successful school year, ensuring no teacher has to start their year feeling alone or overwhelmed."

For the July 2026 edition, the Summit is seeking actionable, high-quality session proposals centered around five core pillars:

  1. Curriculum & Planning: Stress-free mapping and long-term organization.

  2. Teacher Fulfillment: Strategies for longevity, wellness, and professional joy.

  3. Inclusion & Differentiation: Making music accessible and equitable for every learner.

  4. Approaches & Pedagogy: Modern and traditional methodologies

  5. Expectations & Procedures: Building sustainable classroom cultures and management systems.

Prospective speakers—including veteran educators, clinicians, and innovative newcomers—are encouraged to submit proposals that offer "quick wins" and concrete tools for the elementary music classroom. The deadline for first-round scoring is March 31st, 2026.
